Alright, we know we've been slacking just a little tiny bit on making this your "daily" sampling of magical things, but that's all going to change soon. Two new writers are hopping aboard in the next week or so, and we'll be laying it on you thick from then on! For now, one last lazy day...a snow day, in fact. Just so we don't leave you hanging with nothing to soundtrack your frosty ruminations today, we're dropping Chris Herbert's latest emanation from the ether: a sound collage mapping his hometown of Birmingham, England's canals and waterways curated by Resonance FM. The piece, re-titled "Diluted," is being re-released by the boutique label Low Point in a limited 110-copy run with some seriously lush packaging. The proceeds will go to benefit Birmingham's Moseley Road Baths, so let the good Samaritan within you run free!

Thanks to Disquiet for the link. Herbert's last release, "Mezzotint," is out now on Kranky, and, as usual, Dan Lisowski - the dependable half of the fish.cloud team - brings us today's illustration: "Stalactite Icicle Static," from his "Television Portraits" series.
